Space Chess
A downloadable game for Windows
I know that this game has no instructions packaged with it, so you're gonna have to read them here. It's quite complicated and I know that it's not intuitive at all.
So basically you and the AI opponent send out ships that move along and attack each other. Ships will attack other ships.
HOW TO PLAY:
1. On the left you see your three ship presets. clicking the edit button (wrench icon) in the top right corner of each will allow you to change the ship you can deploy from there. Once in edit mode, you can click the check mark icon to save.
2. When editing, the first box you click on will be your ship's movement space. (When on the field, your ship will prefer to move in that direction). There will be a helpful arrow that appears and it should clearly show direction. You can click on that arrow again to turn it into a double movement, where your ship will move 2 spaces instead of one.
3. The next clicks will make those spaces attack space, and you'll see X marks that get smaller and smaller. When on the board, a ship will check these spaces for an enemy and move into them (killing them). This will take priority over normal movement.
4. The button below edit is the deploy button. Clicking that will show a glowing area where you can deploy your ships. Clicking on one of those tiles on the board will place the ship there ready to be summoned onto the board. Keep in mind that the more stuff you add to the ship in editor, the more credits it costs to deploy, and you can see how much in the space below the deploy button.
5. Pressing space will advance the round. All ships on the board since last turn will make their move, and then all ships ready to be summoned (that are transparent) will be placed onto the board.
6. If one of your ships makes it across, then it will deal damage to the enemy player based on how far deep it went off the board. Reducing that player's health to 0 will cause you to win. But be careful, they will try and do the same thing to you.
